Curriculum Vitae

Andrea Szalavetz, DSc, works as senior research fellow (research advisor) at the Institute of World Economics of the Centre of Economic and Regional Studies (KRTK – a research institute that up till 2019 belonged to the network of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences).

Her main research fields include the economics of innovation, digital transformation, industry 4.0, global value chains and upgrading.

She worked in various research teams, coordinated national and participated in international research projects, and contributed to consultancy services-type reports to EC DGs. She is member of the editorial/advisory board of Külgazdaság, Competito, and Equilibrium Quarterly Journal of Economics and Economic Policy.

She published eight books, ~30 book chapters, and ~100 papers in international and Hungarian academic journals, such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Post-Communist Economies, Competition and Change, Journal of East European Management Studies, Acta Oeconomica, and Central European Business Review.
